The easiest way to remember the 9 times table is right on your fingertips.
Literally!Thanks to my wife for teaching me this. Till now I was counting in my head.
So, 9 times 1 is:
Number of fingers extended to the right of the folded finger = 9
Hence 9 X 1 = 9
9 times 2 is:
Number of fingers extended to the left of the folded finger as the first digit = 1
Number of fingers extended to the right of the folded finger as the second digit = 8
Hence 9 X 2 = 18
9 times 3 is: 2 and 7
Hence 9 X 3 = 27
Likewise, 9 X 4 = 36
9 X 5 = 45
And so on:
9 X 6 = 54
9 X 7 = 63
9 X 8 = 72
9 X 9 = 81
And finally 9 X 10 = 90
